Mushtaq Thobani is an analytic and detail-oriented thinker. Having worked within the accounting industry for more than 40 years, a field his father encouraged him to pursue, Mushtaq learned early on that the most successful companies adopt a diligent, thoughtful approach to their financial reporting and leverage the expertise of teams, like that of MMT, to offer a variety of accounting and business solutions.
Educated in the United Kingdom, Mushtaq completed his Chartered Accountant designation in London, England, then worked abroad for a multinational firm in Kenya. He was later transferred to the Calgary division as a Managing Partner.
Soon after, Mushtaq expanded the practice, which today is the firm – MMT Chartered Professional Accountants.

Outside of the office, Mushtaq is an avid golfer and traveller. His favourite course in Calgary remains Heritage Pointe; however, he has had the pleasure to play the Old course in Scotland, as well as Pebble Beach and several exciting courses in Hawaii, Argentina, Spain and other unique destinations.
